At Rusiya Fertility Centre, we offer Sono Salpingo Graphy (SSG)—a safe, non-invasive ultrasound procedure used to evaluate the openness (patency) of the fallopian tubes and overall uterine health. SSG is an essential diagnostic tool in fertility assessment, helping our specialists design the most effective treatment plan for your conception journey.
SSG, also known as Saline Infusion Sonography, is a diagnostic procedure where sterile saline is introduced into the uterus and fallopian tubes during an ultrasound scan. It allows visualization of the uterine cavity and confirms whether the fallopian tubes are open or blocked—crucial information for understanding infertility causes.

Saline Sonography (SSG) offers crucial insights into your reproductive health by evaluating the uterus and fallopian tubes in a safe, non-invasive manner. At Rusiya Fertility Centre, we provide precise, expert diagnostic care in a supportive and compassionate environment. Our goal is to help you understand your fertility clearly, empowering you to make informed decisions and move forward on your journey with confidence, clarity, and peace of mind.
SSG may cause mild cramping, but it is generally painless and does not require anesthesia.
It is best performed between Days 6–10 of your menstrual cycle, after your period and before ovulation.
The procedure typically takes 15–20 minutes and you can return to normal activities the same day.
No major preparation is required, but your doctor may suggest avoiding intercourse before the test.
SSG helps detect blocked fallopian tubes, fibroids, polyps, and abnormalities in the uterus.
SSG is safer, uses no radiation, causes less discomfort, and provides real-time imaging with ultrasound.
